Supplier of stationery to many of Europe’s royal courts, the handcrafted papers of G Lalo are renowned for their quality, elegance and presentation.
Founded by its namesake Geroges Lalo, the company at heart is small, run by an intimate team of professionals. Commencing trade in 1919, operations began in central Paris, where it remains to this day - preserving its distinctive French style and identity.

The distinctive Lalo watermark is only applied to stock after careful examination of each element of production. This ensures Lalo papers are perfect in terms of texture, weight, finish and colour.

Whether it be etiquette or personal satisfaction that dictates, people around the world turn to G Lalo papers when the matter requires the highest level of correspondence.
A 400 year tradition of paper making:
Naturally integral to its reputation, most G Lalo paper is made at Papierfabriek Schut, a Dutch paper mill unparalleled in knowledge and tradition.
Established in 1618, the Schut paper mill now uses modern machinery, yet radiates a traditional atmosphere, applying the same degree of skill and care as it did during the Golden Age of the Dutch Masters in the 17th Century.
Acquired by Papeteries de Clairefontaine in 1998, the quality of its paper has enabled the mill to prosper over the centuries, as other mills in the area slowly ceased production.
